Training for Disabled
EDARCH believes that nobody in the commercial world accepts willingly or honours the disabled persons at par with normal persons unless they give work output or results like normal persons. This is possible only when different categories of disabled persons are trained to work cohesively together and in synchronisation with each other to give work output as a group and not as an individual.
|
In the scheme of Entrepreneurship development, we form various groups, each of 8-10 disabled persons which include two of each category i.e.Mentally Retarded, Blind, Orthopaedically Handicapped and Deaf. The concept behind forming such groups is that when all disabled persons work cohesively together and in synchronisation with each other the group performs all activities and functions that any normal person can do. Each category has some lacunae and thereby has some limitations in performing the activities. When different categories are trained to work in association with each other, the group of 8-10 disabled persons can give output equal to the output of 3-4 normal persons. |
|
We impart vocational training to the groups of disabled persons in the production of industrial components like H.D.P. caps, Diesel Engine Components like V.R. Lever assembly, Oil Filters, Air Cleaners, Vehicular Stephanie Covers, Wire Harness Assemblies, Bicycle Rims, Sub-assemblies required by large scale industries and domestic appliances like Electric Irons, Geysers, Umbrellas, Electric Tube-Lights, Electronic Toys etc. Before starting vocational training of any group, a production flow chart is prepared, functions to be carried out at each stage are finalised and the functional assignments to each category of disabled persons are decided. While imparting training, each category is trained with the help of trained teachers in only those functions which are assigned to them, and the complete job is prepared with the help of all categories together. |

Since this scheme is for a mixed group of disabled persons and the training imparted is of a technical nature, the training period for the group cannot be fixed. However once the group achieves perfection, consistent performance of high standard could be expected. During training, our organisation provides all facilities for production, technical guidance, close supervision for safe working, special technical aid, medical aid and any other help to the group as required to achieve quality and optimum rate of production. Once the group completes the training and achieves perfection, all disabled persons of the group are rehabilitated by establishing their own industrial unit on co-operative basis and then EDARCH remains as retainer to the unit for its survival and future progress. |
Today EDARCH is imparting training in the production of H.D.P Caps of various sizes required by Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. Pune, Stephanie covers for TATA Sumo and other vehicles, Plastic Sheet components for car doors etc.
Some of the factories have offered us components like Engine oil filters, car and two wheeler head lamp wire harness assembly ,Bicycle Rims, Scooter seat assembly, Injection moulded components etc.
